Porterville Program Manager
The Program Manager for our Porterville District is Kawanda Pettitt. Kawanda is a long time resident of Porterville California and likes contributing to the improvement of the community.
Kawanda has been in charge of Infant and Toddler Programs for Family F.O.C.U.S. since 2005. In 2015 Kawanda was promoted to Program Manager to oversee the current Infant and Toddler Center in Porterville and to design, license, and staff the newest addition to our centers, a preschool on the east side of Porterville slotted to open July 1, 2018.
Kawanda currently holds a Site Supervisor Permit and is working on a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Child Development. She first began her tenure at Family F.O.C.U.S. as a Teacher in the two- year-old classroom in 2000. It didn't take long before Kawanda rose in the ranks to Site Supervisor. As the corporation expanded, Kawanda was the logical choice to manage the Porterville District.
In addition to being a great Program Manager, Staff Mentor, and experienced Preschool Teacher, Kawanda also consults for other preschool programs and assists in the development of grant proposals to bring subsidized care to other communities in need. Family F.O.C.U.S. values Kawanda as their "go-to" professional for all things infant and toddler related as well as for her tireless work as our Worker's Compensation, OSHA, and Technology Coordinator.

COMMING SOON:
The Porterville Preschool is currently in development. For many years, Kawanda Pettitt has had to turn children away on their 3rd birthday since we did not have a preschool to send them to. Luckily we have found a location for a small preschool and are in the process of licensing the facility for children 3-5 years of age. Stay tuned!
